Epidemic: Street Law Integrity

So I'm surfing the internet, and I run across these clips from K.A.R. movement. In case you didn't know, K.A.R. stands for Kill All Rats. It's off of the Sub-Zero (Sub 0) "American Gangster's" Edition. Watching this made me realize something. Apparently, snitching has really become weaved into the fabric of our everyday lives. It happens everywhere from the workplace, to school, to the streets. Don't get me wrong. What ever happened to NOT tattle taling? Do parents no longer tell their children to NOT be tattle tale's? Is it encouraged now? Is it b/c the bitch ass parents that were the tattle tale's, are now the parent's instilling this quality in their children? Who knows. Now, there is fine line to the rule. But, I think that these clips have a very good point of view on what is actually going on. My point with the snitching is this.

The way I see it is this. If you go into the streets and you get into something, ESPECIALLY if its lucrative, then you take the risk of going down. So if you get caught, if you weren't built for it and got caught, serve your time, suffer the consequences. It's the rule of life. When you were out there making money, and spending money while everybody was struggling, it was all good right? Why snitch? It sucks, but it's how it should be. It's the way of keeping the order. For me, that is the natural balance to taking the street way of life route. For example, if you take the school/white collar route how does it work? Well, you have education, namely university schooling. From the Bachelor Degree level, all through the Doctorate and beyond. There's rules and you have to abide by them. Some choose not too by cheating, for example. What's the consequence? Suspension. Expulsion. I mean, it could mean the end of so much. If you were to cheat at the later end of your educational career (say at the doctorate level), you have just ruined your chances of being a reputable professional. Your reputation (in other words, resume) is all you have. You lose that, you lost everything. It's the same in the streets. You fuck up, you get locked up. The street equivalent of an expulsion. But maybe it's just me. I'm not going to sit here and dwell, but just wanted to drop some food for thought. You let me know. Drop a comment.
